We all know how difficult it is to shop for the perfect Christmas gift. Even if we know our loved ones well and understand what our friends like, it can be hard to find that ideal ‘something’ at the biggest gift-giving time of the year.
Since my friends and family likely have trouble finding gifts for me, I thought I would help them out by compiling my own list of ‘must-haves’ for Christmas.
Read on to see what I want for Christmas this year. Who knows, you might find something on my holiday gift ideas list that you would like to find wrapped up under the tree! Since I’m a kitchen lover, you’ll notice a focus on things that enhance my time in the kitchen.
What Do I Want for Christmas? To Be Healthy!
1. Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite 1000-Watt Juice Extractor
Fruit is extremely nutritious and its juice is delicious, so the ideal product for me is one that extracts the great taste of that juice while still delivering the nutritional value of the fruit.
The Juice Fountain Elite does it, with a “Nutri Disc” patented system that extracts more nutrients than other juicers while protecting enzymes.
Juicing isn’t just about consuming fruit juice, however. For those of us who need to have more fruits and vegetables in our diets, a juicer is an ideal appliance to add to the kitchen.
We all know the benefits of dark green, leafy veggies, and how important it is to eat vegetables from across the color spectrum, but how difficult is it to get six or eight servings of vegetables a day?
A juicer will help me enjoy a wide range of tasty fruit juices while enhancing my health by juicing a variety of vegetables.
I like the fact this juicer has a heavy-duty motor with dual speed control, so that I can juice softer fruits and vegetables at low speed and harder fruits and vegetables at high speed.
There’s also an extra-wide feed chute for juicing large fruits and vegetables with little or no cutting or preparation. In fact, the feed chute is about three-inches across to allow me to feed whole apples, carrots, tomatoes and peeled oranges into the juicer.
I also like that clean-up is easy, with a cleaning brush included and the ability to put some of the parts on the top shelf of the dishwasher.
2. Air Fryer XL by Cozyna
Fresh juice is a wonderful treat, but who doesn’t love fried foods? This air fryer by Cozyna will let me stay healthy while enjoying the tasty indulgence of fried goodies like French fries.
This fryer requires a tablespoon or less of oil because it uses air to cook. I love the thought of enjoying fried foods without the guilt, or the lingering smell that a deep fryer often leaves in the house.
It can also grill, bake and roast foods, with an adjustable temperature up to 400-degrees, and its 5.8-quart (5.5-liter) capacity means you can cook for the whole family.
I also love the fact that the parts are dishwasher safe. It comes with two recipe books that have over 50 recipes created exclusively for the air fryer. Use the cookbooks to make fried chicken, meatballs, and even desserts – including a savory molten chocolate lava cake.
The convenience of being able to bake, roast and grill your foods and have the equivalent of a deep-fryer in your kitchen makes this the ultimate Christmas gift. Throw in a bag of potatoes and whoever gets this under the tree will be in heaven. Fries for Christmas dinner? Why not!

3. Paderno World Cuisine Folding Vegetable Slicer/Spiralizer Pro
One of my other decadent indulgences is pasta, but we all know that eating too many processed carbs is not the healthiest diet.
So, next on my list is a “spiralizer” that will let me make healthy “noodles” out of vegetables. These can be enjoyed raw in salads, or cooked and used in recipes as a replacement for high-carbohydrate white pasta.
The unit has four blades that provide a total of five unique cuts. With it, you can make vegetable spaghetti, ribbon strands, curly fries, angel hair, or long, spiral strands.
The suction feet hold it steady on the counter while you run the vegetables through. It’s made of heavy-duty, BPA-free plastic that is top rack dishwasher-safe, and it comes with a cleaning brush and recipe book.
This is ideal for those following specific meal plans such as Paleo, low-carb, high-protein, vegan, or raw food diets. It’s also great for those who want to introduce more vegetables into their diet or want to experiment with some new recipes.
It’s even adept at making traditional salads like coleslaw, because it can handle dense, thick vegetables like cabbage or even sweet potatoes.
I would love to use it to make zucchini noodles for spaghetti, lasagna or soup, or to make spicy sweet potato noodles with a peanut sauce. Spiralized beets would be delicious in a salad with goat cheese. And I do love good, old-fashioned coleslaw. The possibilities are endless.
4. All-Clad Hard Anodized Nonstick Dishwasher Safe Cookware Set
Of course, if I set my mind to cooking healthy meals at home, I need to have the right products to cook with. What can beat nonstick cookware with the added convenience of being dishwasher safe?
The All-Clad cookware set is also handy in that it’s oven safe to 500-degrees Fahrenheit (without the lids), and is safe for induction, gas, electric, ceramic and halogen heating.
The 10 pieces in the set include two frying pans (8 and 10-inch), two-quart and three-quart saucepans with lids, a four-quart sauté pan with a lid, and an eight-quart stockpot with a lid.
The cookware is made with hard anodized aluminum to allow for fast, even heating and easy cleanup. It also has a stainless-steel bonded base that won’t warp and is optimized for induction.
I love the fact that it’s a scratch-resistant nonstick coating. The lids fit tightly enough to keep in steam and moisture but are clear to allow me to check on my food. They also have stainless steel handles that are comfortable to hold.
One of the ways I love to cook is by searing meat on the stovetop and then putting it in the oven to bake. As long as I keep the lids out of the oven, I can do just that with these cookware products. Christmas dinner might include some seared pork tenderloin to go with the fries!
5. Tekcity Digital Kitchen Scale
When I focus on my healthy eating, I like to ensure accurate portion control, so a kitchen scale would be a great addition to my countertop.
It will also allow me to be more accurate when baking, or when pre-making items like hamburgers or meatballs, to ensure they are all the same size by weight. I hate trying to cook a six-ounce burger patty and an eight-ounce one, because one of them will not be cooked properly.
The Tekcity kitchen scale gives readings in Imperial or metric and has a five-kilogram/11-pound capacity, measured in one gram/0.35-ounce increments. It also has a volume measurement.
If you want precision, this scale will provide it. I like the tare function, which will subtract the weight of the container and determine a net weight. It’s a nice-looking countertop accessory, with anti-fingerprint stainless steel, but it’s also lightweight and easy to store.
Plus, it switches off after two minutes of inactivity, so if my hands are sticky or covered in ground chuck, I can leave it to turn off by itself and save the life of the two AAA batteries that run it.
What Do I Want for Christmas? To Enjoy My Coffee At Home!
6. Breville BES870XL Barista Express Espresso Machine
Besides cooking at home, I also love to enjoy a good cup of coffee in the comfort of my own kitchen. Not much can beat the quality of café espresso delivered right on my countertop.
Coffee aficionados know that freshly ground beans produce the ideal cup of java, and the faster you go from grinding to brewing, the better. The Breville Barista Express has an integrated burr grinder that will let me go from beans to espresso in under a minute.
It has beginner settings that regulate pressure to optimize extraction of the bean’s flavor while grinding, but also settings for more experienced coffee makers that provide room to experiment with different grind sizes, grind amounts and tamping pressure. This product will give me free rein to explore the art of espresso.
Some other great features include a heating system that regulates the water temperature and allows for a full-flavored espresso, as well as a cup warmer on the top of the machine.
I can even use the stainless steel, 360-degree swivel-action steam wand to make lattes and cappuccinos. It also comes with some great accessories: four filter baskets, a stainless steel milk jug, a water filter holder and filter, and a cleaning kit. Christmas morning coffee will never be the same.

7. Baratza Encore Conical Burr Coffee Grinder
Since I have a regular coffee maker at home as well, I would really like to take advantage of using fresh beans, so this burr grinder goes on my list. Once again, the fresher the grind, the better the cup of coffee.
The Baratza Encore burr grinder is known as the go-to grinder for home brewers – it provides 40 individual grind settings for drip or manual brew systems and will even grind fine enough for an espresso machine.
It’s also important in a grinder to keep the heat low while grinding, so that beans stay cool. There’s also a smooth feed to reduce static buildup, and not much noise.
I like the ease of the front-mounted pulse button that will let me grind on demand into the brew basket. I can use this in my drip coffee maker or my French press, with all the settings from coarse to fine grind.

8. Hawaiian Kona Coffee Tri-Pack
What would I do on Christmas morning if I got a great new espresso maker or a new coffee grinder but did not have impeccable coffee beans to use in them? So, I have to ask for award-winning whole Kona coffee beans to ensure the best cup of Christmas morning java.
The Koa coffee tri-pack of medium roast beans will allow me to sample three different types of award-winning Kona coffee:
- Grande Domaine Kona Coffee – a Kona Coffee Cupping Contest Winner for outstanding quality and balance.
- Private Reserve Kona Coffee – the Kona Coffee that Forbes called “Best in America.”
- Estate Kona – from a high elevation, single estate farm, which showcases the flavor unique to the slopes of the Mauna Loa volcano on which Kona Coffee beans are grown.
After all, I can’t ask for top-of-the-line coffee making products and then put subpar beans into them. I want to experience a true coffee-lover’s coffee bean.

What Do I Want for Christmas? To Be A Better Baker!
9. KitchenAid Artisan Tilt-Head Stand Mixer
And finally, what would the holiday season be without some scrumptious baking? If I got the KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer, I could make some wonderful goodies for my holiday guests.
This version of the stand mixer comes with a flat beater, a dough hook and a wire whip. Here’s what I would be able to do with them:
- Flat beater: Nylon-coated and perfect for quickly and thoroughly mashing potatoes for Christmas dinner, but I could also use it to mix cake batter and cookie dough and so much more. Bonus – it’s top-rack dishwasher safe.
- Dough hook: Also nylon-coated, this C-shaped hook mixes and kneads yeast dough with ease, which will save me time and effort over hand kneading. It’s also top-rack dishwasher safe.
- Wire whip: Features six wires that incorporate air into ingredients for fluffy whipped cream, whipped egg whites or perfect boiled frostings.

There’s also a dishwasher safe one-piece pouring shield that fits onto the mixing bowl and makes it easier to add ingredients without making a mess. While adding light ingredients like flour, it also helps keep them from flying out of the bowl while you’re mixing. This accessory is also dishwasher safe.
The stand mixer is a staple of many bakers, but it also has a power hub for adding an array of more than 15 attachments that KitchenAid manufactures, like a meat grinder or ice cream maker. Imagine making homemade ice cream to go with my home-baked goodies!
It’s also easy to use, with a 10-speed slide control that ranges from a fast whip to a slow stir.
And, perhaps most importantly, it comes in a multitude of colors to match any kitchen. So, remember that my favorite color is red, but the “canopy green” option is a nice Christmas color too.
10. Zojirushi Home Bakery Supreme 2lb-Loaf Breadmaker
I can imagine waking up Christmas morning to the smell of cinnamon-raisin bread baking in the kitchen, or sitting down to dinner with fresh-baked dinner rolls or garlic bread sticks.
It could happen if I get the Zojirushi supreme breadmaker, which makes a two-pound loaf of rectangular-shaped bread, but can create so much more.
I like the idea of being able to throw together a loaf of bread so easily and inexpensively. Bread is a basic grocery item that seems to get more expensive all the time and goes stale on the counter so quickly.
Having the ability to easily bake bread at home is wonderful for families, those on the go, or any bread lover on your Christmas list.
This breadmaker’s control panel seems easy to use and the nonstick bread pan is easily removed for cleaning. It comes with a double-ended teaspoon/tablespoon measuring spoon, an eight-ounce measuring cup, and a user manual with a variety of recipes.
I like the fact I would be able to choose from three crust shades – light, medium, or dark – and from 10 pre-programmed settings.
I could even set the timer to delay the end of the baking cycle by up to 13 hours, which means I could set it to be ready in the morning, or I could come home from work to the smell of a freshly baked loaf of bread.
Besides being able to make artisan bakery products like bread or buns, it can also be used to make sides for meatloaf, strawberry jam and chocolate cake.
11. Rachael Ray Cucina Nonstick Bakeware
The delicious batters and doughs I’ll be making will only be as good as the bakeware I cook them in, so I think this 10-piece nonstick bakeware set is an essential item to add to the gift list.
The Rachael Ray bakeware collection has everything I need, with two cookie sheets, two pie pans, a muffin tin, a loaf pan, a square cake pan and a rectangular cake pan with a lid for storing cake once baked. I could bake cookies, I could make a banana loaf or meatloaf, I could whip up a cake, or I could bake a pie.
It’s oven-safe to 450-degrees Fahrenheit and made with durable carbon steel. Besides the convenience of being nonstick, it also has silicone grips that make the bakeware easy to take out of the oven.
The set is stylish, with a latte color and red silicone handles, and it partners with the complete Cucina collection.
12. Breville Smart Oven Pro Convection Toaster Oven
And finally, what better way to add to my capacity for making a big breakfast or even dinner at Christmas than to add a convection toaster oven that will handle many types of cooking.
The Breville smart oven has 10 pre-set cooking functions: toast, bagel, bake, roast, broil, pizza, cookies, reheat, warm, and slow cook.
I could use this to toast up to six slices of bread. I could cook a pizza up to 13-inches in diameter. I could bake cookies or roast meat with the convection setting – which speeds the cooking process, and I could broil. I could even use this just to re-heat leftovers.
The slow cook function has two heat settings that will slow cook from 2 to 10 hours and then automatically switch to a keep warm function at the end of the cooking cycle. The walls on the inside of the oven have a non-stick coating for easy cleaning.
One of the benefits of adding an oven like this to the kitchen is the ability to cook in a smaller appliance that won’t heat the entire kitchen – not usually a concern at Christmas, but perfect for those hot summer months.
If you don’t need to use the full size of an oven, you don’t have to. As well, this is ideal as a stand-alone appliance for smaller kitchens like dorms, or for seniors who have downsized to a smaller home or apartment and don’t cook large meals.
